Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey

my friend got a dwi in my car but nothing legally happened to me. i was able to pick up my car the next day there was no accidents or damage but i heard that in the future my insurance liability would increase is this true?

Not automatically---if you did not know friend was drunk and did not let that person drive the car knowing that....Does this friend normally or regularly drive this car? And is that person a named driver on your policy?

Suggest you check with an insurance agent from your company but NOT YOUR AGENT...not the company's customer service line either...
