Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey
New Jersey driver received dui in NC
I recieved a DUI febuary in NC. I am a New Jersey licensed driver and reside there. BAC was .15. My nc privileges were suspended for the one year minimum. Should i call the DMV in new jersey to let them know or should i just let NC give them the information. How long will my NJ license be suspended? I read another post to were someone tried to get the NJ suspension lowered to 90 days, how is this possible? If i wait till NC notifies NJ will my NJ suspension go from the date convicted or the date they find out? Thank you.

New Jersey will suspend you for seven months if you are a first offender. Calling motor vehicles might be a good idea. You might as well get it over with.
New Jersey requires a .08 reading for a presumption of dwi guilt. If you reading out of state were an 08 and less than a .10 you would get a 90 day suspension in New Jersey as a first offender.
