Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey

length of time before giving alko test

How long do the N.J. State Police have to hold you (and watch you) before issuing the alcotest? Is there a minimum time in which they must administer the test? Maximum time?

Re: length of time before giving alko test

They have to watch you for 20 minutes. If they wait too long, it will only help you out cause your reading will be lower.

I strongly suggest you speak to an attorney as DWI is very serious. Feel free to give me a call at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.l

Yes. There must be twenty minutes of observation. You need to consult with a dwi attorney.

Call me if you like.
