Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey
Hi.. I've made mistake after mistake.. I got a DUI almost two years ago. Went through a lawyer here online and lost the case.. I received 180 hours community service.. Half way through I had a guy offer me to get rid of my community service if I gave him money.. I was extremely apprehensive about it but I agreed. Well he just got caught by the police for making women on probabtion give him sexual favors for hours for community service in return.. I had a detective knock on my door this morning and I told him the truth about this guy confronting me for money and me giving it to him in exchange for hours served. he gave me approxiamtely 100 hours.. What do you think will happen to me now?The detective said it will be up to the prosecutor. I am very nervous right now. I am a professional who is about to get married and this is going to ruin my life if jail is possible..

You need to secure counsel at once - and not be speaking to the police or other government agents without the benefit of counsel.
The facts you describe could be construed to be at least two offenses, bribery and official misconduct, and no doubt others. These are serious offenses and could affect your licensing as a professional.
Your actions sound like you may be a youthful offender and hopefully a resolution can be reached that is not freedom or career threatening.
See counsel at once.
If we can be of help, please call for an appointment or other information.

I'll second (or third) all of that. I have 8 offices in NJ, so I'd be happy to discuss the case with you. I don't suggest you do anything else today before you speak with an attorney ASAP.
