Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey

Post Sentencing Appeal

Can I move to re-visit my case even after pleading guilty and serving the suspension. I plead guilty for DUI in June after a two year stay over Chun. I plead guilty to A. finally get the thing over with and B. Even though I had a great deal of circumstantial evidence, it would have come down to my word against the officer which I felt would get me nowhere. However, I've now since served my sentence and will get my license back shortly. Is there any way to revisit my case now. I simply want to prove that I was right and frankly the fact that I now having nothing to lose and have no reason to lie I think shifts the balance between the words of the officer and myself. You probably think its not worth even exploring, however I'm still pissed and want to get my day in court to tell my side. Is there anything legally I can do at this point?

Re: Post Sentencing Appeal

Based on what you gave as your reasons, no. You chose to plead guilty. In so doing, you gave up your right to tell your side of things. Sorry.

Re: Post Sentencing Appeal

You would have to successfully prosecute a post conviction motion to vacate your guilty plea. This is not an easy task. You should give me a call.

Call me if you like.
