Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey
I just got pulled over in my wife's car but having an expired inspection sticker ( due September 2013) when the officer asked for my documents I couldnt find my wifes current insurance card, only found an expired one. Once I got home my wife showed me in the glove compartment where the insurance card is. The total cost for the two fines is $310 dollars for both the inspection sticker and insuance card. If I go an get the car inspected tommorow and bring the copy of that and the valid insurance card to court. Is it worth fighting or talking to the prosecuter with? Anyway i may be able to get out of it with just paying court costs? We have 0 points on our license

If you get those things remedied they may downgrade to no documents in possession which is a much lower fine for each and you can bring proof to the Court and talk to the local prosecutor
