Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey

recived check made out to me in the mail

i recived sizable checks made out to me from some folks i am not aquainted with.

I went to the bank the funds were drawn upon and was assured that their were enough funds to cover the checks.

If I cash these checks am I criminally responsible for the withdraw if these checks turned out to be counterfit?
