Legal Question in Elder Law in New Jersey
Correct Will Form
Is there a Will form that I can fill out myself for an estate of approximately $3,000,000? Assetts are not in complicated forms.
Surrogate Court in Bergen County will read/evaluate Will after I complete it to let me know if the Will has been correctly prepared.

Re: Correct Will Form
There are plenty of Do It Yourself kits available, however, they are not guaranteed to address your legal needs or to minimize tax consequences. The surrogates court cannot give you estate planning advice, just tell you whetehr the will was properly signed. If the kit you purchase does not anticipate your situation, assets and intended distribution, then a large percentage of your estate will be forfeited to both the State of New Jersey and the Internal Revenue Service. A properly drafted estae plan should run about $5,000, but will save you significantly more in death and estate taxes.
