Legal Question in Elder Law in New Jersey
How can I declare my mother incompentent so that I can manage her finances? She is 75 and relatively healthy except for depression and osteoporosis. She gambles excessively. She only has a social security check and is regularly overdrawn on her account bc of gamging. She lives with my sister and does not pay rent or contribute to the household. She is not able to pay medical/dental expensese and I have had to put things on my credit card. We need help. She lives in New Jersey.
