Legal Question in Elder Law in New Jersey

my grandparents live in NJ and should not be living alone. I am in a different state and cannot move to NJ to take care of them. They are unwilling to go to a home or give power of attorney what options do I have?

You could call Adult Protective Services of New Jersey to see if they will go out there and check up on them. They can check them out and then give you more options. Unless they are in a really bad spot, they may be limited in what they can do. You may have to hire an attorney to help you. If that seems like your best option at any point, give me a call.

I think you should contact an attorney and make application to become guardian. Our office has handled many such applications. Please call my office to set up an appointment.
