What is the ''Half-A-Loaf Law'' that pertains to the sale of the home of a family member who is in a long term care faclity?

I think someone passed on some "slang" to you;perhaps, have a loaf refers to a half interest in the property???
I know of no nj statute that uses this verbiage.
