nursing home resident has tape recorder in room
Is it legal for a nursing home resident to keep a tape recorder in an inconspicuous place in her room for the purposes of taping her interactions with medical staff?

With the exception of government authorized or court ordered "taps or wires", it is my not a permissible act to record a conversation with a third party "especially a health care provider" without the other parties knowledge and consent.
