Legal Question in Elder Law in New Jersey
I was power of attorney for my Mom. She was 96 at the time. She's now 98. The rehab she is in filed for guardianship and ran up a bill of $57,000. Her home sold for $240,000. I was in the process of selling and they were aware of it when they did this. The rehab is in Lakewood NJ. Do I have any recourse against the rehab or attorney who filed the guardianship. How much should a typical guardianship cost in NJ?
