Legal Question in Elder Law in New Jersey
Will and Power of Attornney
My mother is believed to be emotionally unstable. She has requested from me to return her papers asap after we had an falling out. She is very insistent and I don't know why. My siblings and I are very concern and what to know if it possible we could arrange anykind of professional counseling under current NJ laws.What are my options ?

hi -
you would need to have your mom declared incapacitated by the court. to do this, you should probably hire an attorney to file the complaint. you will need a doctor's affidavit to assist your position that she is unable to handle her own affairs. feel free to call me at 609 263-0089, if you have any questions. good luck !!
