Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

20 year old

I have a court ordered support aggreement which was made when my son began college. Since then, he has quit college twice and is now living home with his Mom again. He has quit 5 jobs, the most recent being yesterday. Do you think a court would emancipate him since we have absolutely no influence over whagt he does. He wants to be emancipated. I am the non-custodial parent.

Based on what you have said, it sounds like you should be able to get child support completely cut off.

I believe that there is a good chance that a Court would emancipate him.

Re: 20 year old

Yeah, the court would. You may not need a lawyer in this case, although it may be a lot easier with one. You may want to at least consult with one first.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
