Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

How to get a 21 year old to Move out

I have a son who is going to be 21 in 60 days. He lives at home which is having an extreme strain on my marriage. He has not held a job since graduating High School, has not attending College, has no plans to join the military. He is currently on a PTI probation for a drug charge. My home is in my name and I do not want him living at home what can I do legally

Simply repeat to him the information in your question. Then tell him that he has to get a job within some reasonable amount of time so that he can pay for the new apartment where he will be living. Explain to him that you still love him but that he has been an adult for some time and must now start acting like one.

I hope that my feeling that you might be a bit afraid of what your son will do is wrong. I also guess that your son's father will not take him in nor will he advise your son to get a job

and would not be listened to if he tried.
