Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

8 years ago I got married in Cape Cod, MA. The person presiding over the marriage was a friend of my wife's that got ordained online. We were not residents of Cape Cod, MA or Massachusetts ever. We resided in Maryland at the time of the marriage. So the question is, how legal is my marriage in Mass. with an out of state ordained minister?

Thank you,

Rodney Owens

I can not answer your question without more information. I can tell you that I recently assisted a man who got married to his second wife before he divorce the first wife. I was able to fix that problem, so that his marriage to the second wife was valid. Give me a call, make an appointment to come see me, and I will go over this with you, and give you some advice.
