Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Accused of ''brainwashing'' the children
What defense do I have against being
accused of brainwashing 3 children to
''believe'' their father sexually abused
them (family or civil court)? He has
even stated that the children's ''signs
and symptoms'' of abuse are because
of my brain washing. The court
required psych evals, but didn't
require that they be produced, after
he paid in excess of $10,000 to his
psychologist. He produced a
paragraph from his evaluator stating
''unsubstantiated.'' I have been
evaluated by a family services chosen
psychologist, along with the two
younger children and the report says
NOTHING about me that is negative
and reinforces depression& Post
traumatic stress. There are reports,
statements etc from the 3 children
telling of the horrors, but all I hear is
''unsubstantiated.'' The children's
father gave up custody, fled a car
search that family services tried to
conduct for inappropriate photos, and
had visitation taken after he fled this
search. But the court has also
allowed him NOT to contribute to
college and he is now using this
defense again, since he filed a
motion. Please help. Thank you.

Re: Accused of ''brainwashing'' the children
It is quite easy to defend against such a charge because the accuser has the burden of proving his
accusations are well founded. Why are you asking for help? Have you been dealing with this problem without the services of an attorney. You need to hire an attorney.
