Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
We adopted a very troubled boy 3 years ago
We adopted a boy and his younger and older sister 3 years ago. We also have a biological 3 year old daughter. We have tried many avenues to help him but have been unsuccessful. right now he is only 8 and is small for is age. He is very destructive and aggressive and has severe learning disabilities. We are becoming frightened that as he gets older he will seriously injure one of his sisters. He would do so much better in a house where he was an only child or only had brothers. We have allready been told by DYFS that once you adopt a child you can't reverse it. If we found a suitable family that wanted to adopt him could they?

Parenthood comes with a mantle of responsibility. Adoption shifts the mantle to the shoulder of others. Another family can assume the mantle, but until that occurs the mantle rests permanently upon your shoulders.
