Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I have had an affair with this girl who has had other partners at the same time as me and resulted in a child. Now I am going to court for paternity. I would like to relinquish my parental rights. What does this mean on my behalf? I live in NJ and she lives in WV. I have not seen this child and do not want to be involved in this child's life what so ever. I do not want to see the child or be in contact with him or the mother. What will relinquishment of my parental rights do for me? Am I able to file for this process to occur, I have no intention of being involved at all.

If this case will be in NJ, you cannot give up your rights. If this case is in WV, you posted in the wrong state.
