Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Can't Afford Representation

I am going through an extremely tumultuous separation and was served with divorce papers today. I have been dropped by one attorney do to my inability to make full payment for the services provided over the last 2 months. I am risk of losing my children, and all my assets. I have applied for legal assistants but was denied do to my income. The problem is I have been ordered by the court to maintain all household expenses during this time. My debit to income is very high as well. I no longer have financial stability due to the reduction in household income now that my wife is no longer required to contribute financially. How do I obtain legal representation with my current situation? Any guidance you can give would be most beneficial. Thank You - K

I understand this is a difficult situation. Is there a court order in place? If not, why are you paying for everything? Does your spouse work? I would need to see the financial numbers to give you advice. However, I might be able to work with you and your finances.
