Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
alimony reduction
I am a divorcee after 30 years of marriage. My ex has remarried and is trying to get my alimony lowered. I have been a stay at home mom and do not have a job where i can afford to have it lowered. Is it true that once's he is married, his income and his new spouses income become combined?

Re: alimony reduction
You are asking a very important question, which will involve thousands of dollars impact to you. If you have an attorney and can not get a clear answer to this question, fire the attorney and get someone who can assist you. If you do not have an attorney, please hire one immediately, someone who is fairly nearby to you, who handles a decent amount of divorce law.
You can not simply add his second wife's income to his income. However, one factor is his income and his expenses (and she may have an impact on what his expenses are. And did your divorce judgment and property settlement agreement not discuss whether or not the amount of alimony was subject to modification?
If you would like, give me a call; I am in Hackensack (northern New Jersey). I will be happy to discuss
this with you; a brief telephone consultation will be free. However, you need an attorney's assistance, not a brief telephone call.
