Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

anulment

I'm married less than a year, things are horrific, all my money is gone and living with verbal abuse. I find out my husband has a mental disorder which I did not know of before marriage. Can I get an annulment?

An annulment is feasible. More information is required to properly answer your question.

Re: anulment

If the issue of a serious mental disorder had been hidden from you then you could qualify for an annulment. The issue was fraud in a sense. There is an issue as to waiver or condonation in addition to ratification

if you continue in the marriage without filing. You need a family lawyer to help you with this as soon as possible. Of course, there are other issues to be explored in more detail to provide a complete assessment.
