Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

assets acquired after separation

My wife and I have been separated for 9 years. She resides in Florida and I reside in NJ. Three years ago, I purchased a home. Would my wife be entitled to my home and assets that I acquired during our 9 years of separation?

The simple answer is probably not, but without more information it is difficult to be certain. You should see an attorney to discuss this in more detail, especially if you are now thinking about getting a divorce. If we can be of help, please call for an appointment. If you mention Law Guru, the first consultation is free.
