Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Back in February of 2007, I was awarded custody of my daughter and it wasn't until February of 2011 that it was brought to my attention that I was still paying child support for the child I have custody of. I was advised that I could take the mother to court for the overage that I paid in child support. After many times going to court, I was awarded the amount that I overpaid in child support. She has yet to pay anything towards the judgement against her, yet I am being told that she is spending $400 to join a gym, has a bank account(in her boyfriends name, but it's her money). Even though she is working(off the books), there is currently a garnishment on her wages for another matter and I was told that there can't be 2 garnishments on her wages. I even made the suggestion of her dropping off money and she'll be provided with a receipt, but she has refused to do so. I was wondering how I can go about getting the money that I was awarded in the judgement. Thank you.

This is not going to be easy. She is hiding her bank account. She is hiding her wages.
A smart and tough family law attorney may be able to pound your money out of her.
For example, I can force her to answer questions. I could try to suspend her driver's license (that gets some really angry people to pay). I could seize her car.
