Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

bad attorney

I owe my matrimonial attorney moeny and even though he knew I couldn't pay him after some things were cleared, now he keeps telling me that I have to pay him or he will not do any more work. He won't withdraw as my attorney, but he won't file motions either. what can I do.

Re: bad attorney

You can hire another attorney or fire him and represent yourself. However, he will probably not want to turn over the file. He should continue to do work or ask to be relieved.
