if a court order is not in place to pay child support can the court freeze your bank accounts?

in order to seize financial assets to

pay for child support.

If there is no court order for child support then there is no basis for putting a lien on any assets, not for arrears for support anyway.

You have the answers of three attorneys already, and I respect Gary and Jef (do not know the other person at all).

However, what you have written seems like only part of a situation. There seems to be a lot more to it.

You really need to get some assistance from an attorney. I suggest you find an experienced divorce attorney (this is a divorce type problem) who is not too far from you, and ask the attorney for assistance. You will have to pay the attorney for the attorney's efforts.

There is a lot at stake. Get a lawyer!
