Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Biological Father Seeking Visitation Post-Adoption

I adopted my step-daughter 5 years ago. She lives with me and her biological mother. All visitation rights of her biological father ended with the adoption. He now wants to see her again, which we will not voluntarily allow. Can he petition the Court for visitation rights and sort of ''overturn'' the adoption? What are his chances of success if he did so?

Re: Biological Father Seeking Visitation Post-Adoption

Likely as long as the procedural and substantive requirements for the adoption were met, he will not be successful in either overturning the adoption or getting any sort of court-ordered visitation.
