what should i do

my ex boyfriend is seeking custody of my youngest child. he was verbally and physically abusive to my 4 yr old. i have left the state and since filed an order of protection against him. hes saying paternity has been established it hasnt. i have been separated from my husband for 2 1/2 yrs i'm not sure my ex botfriend is the father wat do i have the right to request in court

First, it must be determined if the boyfriend is the child's father. If he is the father, custody is determined by the evaluation of which parent is more nurturing and a better parent. Psychologists and social workers are involved and the judge decides the question of custody.
