Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
brother will not get necessary medical help
please tell my 2 sisters and I what we can do to take power over our brother who refuses medical attention and is severely depressed. He has lost all his weight and is skin and bones but still refuses the help we know he needs for depression. He stopped eating 3 months ago and is wasting away in his home. We have exhausted every effort and even had him brought to the psycho ward last night. They released him due to him having rights they say.
IF WE DON'T GET CONTROL OF HIS MEDICAL DECISIONS AND GET HIM IN A PROGRAM WHICH HE REFUSES I WILL BE IN A BOX IN A MATTER OF WEEKS....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: brother will not get necessary medical help
Your brother could be involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital because he is unable to care for himself. I would hope that he has medical insurance to cover the expenses of hospitalization.
