Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Case status

How long does it take to get an answer after a plenary trial? If it takes many months could that be a good sign that what you applied for was granted? Do the courts frown upon a pro se litigant calling to see what the status of the case is?

Re: Case status

Depends on the judge, the issus, etc. Courts do not like to be bothered, but if you are cool about it, they should be cool too. However, I doubt they will be able to give you many updates. If they have no updates, ask them when you should call back. Be polite as well.
