Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Name change

natural father died,mother remarried,mother added new husband's last name to my name;did not go to court;just did it,no documentation;happened in 1950's;my birth cit.is in my birth name,but since approx.1954 i have used new surname;what can i do to get this fixed in regard to identy problems in light of 9/11; thanks

You apply to the court to lawfully change your name. You should call me at 800 273 7933 for an appointment. It will take three or four months.
