Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Change of venue

My ex filed for custody of our kids, he works for the county and knows alot of people in the court system, then he is arrested for a crime at work, and he now want to change counties for he feels he won't get a good hearing. He iniciated the whole preceedings now wants to change, can he?

He can try to obtain a change of venue but he may have some considerable difficulty in doing this. When you say someone knows everyone that may really mean nothing in terms of court proceedings.

It doesn't matter who he knows, as long as the judge does not have a conflict with the case. I don't see this going anywhere.
