Re: chid support

It should be finished. If there is a support order being supervised by probation you must file a motion to terminate child support so that the robots will not bother you.

Call me if you like.

Re: chid support

It appears that you should be done, but if it is being paid through the probation department, it will continue to accrue without a Court Order. This can be done by consent if your ex-spouse agrees. Otherwise, a Motion may be required.

Keep in mind that this advice is given based on the little bit of information that you have provided in your question. My advice may change based on other information. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. You cannot rely on this advice because we have not personally met and you have not retained me as an attorney. If you have not already done so, you should immediately meet with a Family Law attorney for a full consultation before you take any further steps. You may feel free to call me to discuss this matter in more detail. If you do so, mention Law Guru and your first one hour of time will be free. Good luck! Rob Gleaner

Re: chid support

Unless, for some strange reason, your agreement required you to pay until the child was 25, etc., you do not have to pay child support anymore since the child is an adult and is now working full-time.

Re: chid support

You should sit down with an attorney to discuss a motion for emancipation. It is the only way to end your child support. Call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss.
