Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child Custody, attempting to get sole custody

I would like to apply for sole custody

of my two children. They have lived

exclusively with me since my

husband and i seperated 2 years ago.

He is a tier 1 registered sex offender,

he was convicted of endangering the

welfare of a child in 1995. he has

had no contact with the kids for 1

year and is currently 4,000 behind in

chid support. He has been

unemployed for 10 months and

resides with his mother. What are

my chances of being awarded sole

custody if i file on my own. At this

time i can not afford an attorney.

Re: Child Custody, attempting to get sole custody

While I almost always suggest you get an attorney, I think the chances of you getting what you want on your own are really good. Good luck!
