Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child custody

My nephew and his wife lost custody of their three children (ages 6, 4 & 3) and are now under DYFS' care. Currently all three are living with a local maternal aunt. I live in CA and would like custody of the 6 yr old, however DYFS has told me that they are adamant about not splitting up the children and unfortunately I am not able to take all three. Is there anything I can do? What are the chances of my getting custody?

Re: Child custody

Without knowing anything else about the case, I would say not good. It might be different if they were staying with a non-relative, but they are alrady with a family member.
