Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child custody

I am a part of a situation of joint custody of my 8month old son the mother of my 8 month old son is impoverishing herself by leaving a non deployable military unit and choosing to go to a deployable status military unit which she states is getting deployed to Iraq she is currently in the military as I am and we are both active duty only Im in the area she is trying to go to a unit in North Carolina just to spite me because we split up, She was ordered by the court to take a DNA test and refused she smacked me in the mediation hearing and threw papers at me in front of the mediator, and then walked out. I have not seen my son in 1 month she has changed all her phone numbers so I cant contact her to check on my son . she currently resides on th military base where I work so I have even tried going by to see my son but she doesnt allow me to. I have 3 daughters of my own that live with me, and that I have custody of so I am praying I atleast get joint custody of my son. Please help me determine what rights I have and possibly the chance I have of getting joint custody. i have been paying her 400$ a month in support without even being ordered.

Re: Child custody

Your description is not quite clear, but I can assure you that you should go to Court, now, to get a custody and visitation order in place, and you should consider asking for custody of the child if she is going to join a deployed military unit. she can not possibly take a child to Iraq.

You clearly need an experienced divorce attorney.

contact me if you are in northern New Jersey. good luck to you.
