my parents have been divorced for 14 years and have been living together since just for me. now we have hit a very rocky point and talk about definite splitting has come up. my mom says that she has custody of me and nothing can change that. I am 16, turning 17 in march. is this true?

No. She is wrong.

However, the law is complicated. You and your Dad need to see a divorce lawyer and get some advice.
