Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child expenses

My ex and I were divorced in Utah. He is the non-custodial parent. I now live in New Jersey with our children and he lives in Louisiana. Where do I file a claim on past due parent-time travel and medical expenses?

Re: Child expenses

If you reside in New Jersey you must do what is called "docketing" the divorce judgment with the

Family Part of the Superior Court of New Jersey and

then seek to enforce the judgment. You could also

docket your judgment in Louisiana, but that would

require that you travel to Louisiana to enforce

your rights under the judgment.

Call me if you like.
