Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

What is child neglect or endangerment?

My 5 year old daughter's father is a drug addict who was recently arrested. He is also a dead-beat dad who only pays support when there is a warrant issued. Just days before I learned about his arrest and drug addiction my daughter told me her father was driving her aournd on his motorcycle and 4 wheeler. He was also driving her in his truck in the front seat which is illegal in NJ. On top of this his live in girlfriend overdosed on a prescription narcotic, an attempted suicide, 8 months prior. She was 5 months pregnant. I filed an order to show cause and a best interest study was done. He was granted supervise visitation and told not to drive with her in the car. Well he has been driving with her in the car. Are there any general guidelines for parents with addictions and how visitaion normally works. His 1st visitation was supervised by his lawyer, he failed to tell me that the attorny's dog bit our daughter. As it turns out my daughter has been bitten by animals 2 other times. Is this not neglect and endangerment?

You need to go back to court, present this mess to the Judge and ask to cut off all visitation except under direct supervision and control of the court officers.

what you are describing is outrageous.

Has anyone notified DYFS? They can probably handle this for you, but if they don't, you may want your own attorney.
