Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
child support
Back in 1998 I got a divoce in NJ.
The visitation agreement was for the father to have our daughters 3 nights a week and evey other weekend. He left the state witin a month of signing this and the visitation order was never changed. I was wondering if I could take him back to court for back child support as he only sees his daughter maybe once a year for a few days.

Re: child support
It is possible, but extremely unlikely, that the Judge will change the child support order retroactively for ten years. On the other hand, you certainly should go to Court to get an appropriate amount of child support, based on current circumstances. It is certainly worthwhile to take a look at what you should be receiving now.
