Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
child support
My boyfriend is thousands in arrear for child support. If he gets pulled over for a traffic violation, is it on record that he is behind and can they arrest him? He is a single father to two boys. The mother has not seen them in four years. He has a hard time raising these kids financially wise. Know that's not an excuse. His ex-wife is very understanding of his situation.

Re: child support
There has to be a warrant for his arrest. I suggest you contact probation to see if they have issued one.
Re: child support
I agree with Jef, the other attorney.
Please, please scrape together the money and get a divorce lawyer to help him. He would be very foolish to do nothing.
And if his income is very low and he has custody of two kids, why did he not ask the Court to lower the amount he was paying to the mother of another one of his kids?
Let me know if I can assist him.
