Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child Support for College Student

My ex-husband & I currently have an active Child Support Order for our children, ages 16 & 19. We have Joint Custody, but the children have always resided with me. Our 19 yr old is a full time college student, lives at home, and has a part-time job. My ex-husband is threatening to take me back to court, because he does not want to pay child support for our 19 yr old, during the summer months because she does not have classes. Can he do this? Our daughter still lives at home and only has a part-time job. She is not financially independant and will be returning to a full time college schedule in the fall.

He will have to still pay child support. You don't need an attorney now, but I suggest you speak with one so you can move right away when something happens. Call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss.
