Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child support & extended parenting time

If my husband and I have his children for extended time in the summer, for example 42 consecutive days, is he entitled to a decrease in child support during that time? If so, does he pay more the rest of the year instead?

Re: Child support & extended parenting time

Assuming the cuwtodial parent resides in New Jersey. The percentage of time that the non-custodial parent has the child should be factored into the amount of the child support payment so that each payment is smaller. The payments do not cease while the non-custodial parent has the child or children. You should call me at 800 273 7933 to discuss the matter further. Martindale-Hubbell which surveys lawyers and judges in a lawyers legal community says that I have high legal skills.
