Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child support for graduate studies

My daughter will graduate from college this May. My ex and I have no previous agreement about graduate education for her. I am willing to continue to support her, but he may not. Can I take him to court and ask him to pay towards her graduate degree? I live in New jersey. Thanks

Re: Child support for graduate studies

Graduate education is not a parental obligation.

You would do better to use gentle persuasion or the assistance of other family members.

I agree with Mr. Moore. Taking this matter to court will likely be a waste of time and money.
