Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

child support hearing

my husband is going to child support hearing and his ex's attorney is a municipal court judge in that town. Is this allowed or somehow unethical enough to get the case postponed until she gets another attorney? It seems prejudical.

Re: child support hearing

A municipal court judge sits only in municipal court and child support is heard in Superior Court where the municipal court judge is just another attorney.

I agree with Mr Moore; I wouldn't worry about it.

You haven't said if your husband is represented by an attorney. If he is, ask that attorney his feelings about it...if he is not represented yet, I strongly advise him to get someone he can trust. I live and work in Southern NJ.
