Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
child support options
If a person were divorced last year in the state of New Jersey, could that person pay child support directly to their ex-spouse or do they have to go through a child support enforcement agency?

Re: child support options
I would never advise my client to pay child support directly to the ex-spouse. You have no official record of payment. . .other than your checks. . .the state enforcement agency is YOUR protection that you have paid as the court ordered.
