Once the child has reached the age of

18 but is going to college and under the

primary care provider. does the paying

parent of support still obligated to pay

support?

Generally, you are obligated to pay until the child is twenty-one unless (for example) the child gets married, begins to work full-time, or the agreement provides otherwise.

Re: child support

Child support would stay at the same level for a child attending school while living at home. If the child goes away from home for college, child support is almost entirely wiped out because the child is being supported at school by the payment of tuition and room and board.
