Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child Support

My son is 18 and is about to

graduate HS in a few weeks. My

son lives with his dad and I pay

child support but it is not court

ordered. It is a notrized

agreement between me and his

dad. It states that as long as my

son is a full time student that I will

still pay support. My son got

accepted to a community college

but is not enrolled. My question is,

Am I still required to pay as along

as he is not enrolled in school and

will the agreement that I have hold

up in court if my ex decides to take

me to court. I live in PA and he

lives in NJ.

Re: Child Support

If you file the motion now, he will figure out at some point, that the child needs to go to child and at that time, you will lose the motion. I doubt your agreement will really hold up in court. Might be time to speak with an attorney about all of this.
