Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child Support

My son has child support payments. He was just sentenced to a 4-year prison term. How can he get his child support obligation postponed until he is released from prison and gets a job?

A motion can be filed under the child support case requesting for the suspension of child support while he is in prison.
